SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- The regretful melodrama appurtenance that is Nicholas Sparks keeps using at full capacity.

As common for Sparks" stories, intrigue and tragedy brew via "The Last Song." Sparks has endured his own misfortuneshis mom died in a horseback-riding accident, his father in a car crash, and his sister died of cancer.
Meanwhile, Sparks began his ultimate novel Feb. seventeen and contingency finish by May so his publishing house can have it out this fall.
